During the week of the 8th to the 12th June, year 8 pupils from the Ashcombe school will be visiting Normandy.Coaches will leave school and head to Dover, where they will cross the channel and drive to Normandy. The coaches will arrive at 'Ma Normandie' in the late afternoon, having stopped at a chocolate factory along the way. The accomodation is set in the beautiful Normandy countryside around 15 kilometres from Caen.
During the week the group will be visiting several attractions and sights including the Bayeux Tapestry, Arromanches 360 Cinema, Pegasus Bridge and Ranville war Cemetery. Groups will also be experiencing a traditional Biscuit shop, bakers, cider farm and will be using their language skills to buy lunch! This is a wonderful trip with some excellent visits.
